The Buddha repeatedly addressed that "effort bring us success". With this penetrative phrase, the residents of Beoung Kok and their children are praised by their dedication and commitment to seek justice. Justice cannot be offered without effort. There is a contemporary manipulation of this justice effort: the original effort for the decent living and fairly treatment from the municipality to those land eviction victims are still a key mission statement. While the powerful join hand to hand with the rich to use the court as their tool, this previous trial and this releasing is non-sense and it is called by the world that "travesty of justice". Let not to forget your plate and your original land!!

First of all we need to understand what is success. Freedom of delusion is success, freedom of hatred and greed is success.
ReplyDeleteSuccess is something very personal, delusion is something very personal. So we can have success just if we get free of misunderstanding.
Awakening it is called, waking up from our dream we take for real, what it to be real, seeing it getting old, sick and die.
Success we can only gain for our self, but while we strive for it and just for it (that is important, otherwise we don't strive for success of awakening but for success to make unreal real, which will always fail) we help others as we simply abstain from doing wrong.
Abstaining from doing wrong is the action to be done.
Doing wrong for the sake of right is a appearance of painful delusion. Painful for one self, and painful for others.
It's the way of drug dealer. They sell pleasant feelings and live from it. Beware of the drug dealer and do not deal your self.

When it is good at the beginning, in the middle and at the end, that you know that you simply walk the wrong path as it still hurts.

ReplyDeleteSomebody who tell people that Buddha taught people to gain victory, make worldly success to something people should strive for, somebody who makes enemies.
He does not know what Buddhas victory, the victory of peace is about. He put oil into the fire as he fears peace. Peace that would not give rise to ego, selfishness and pride. Foolish those who take drugs, dangerous those who sell drugs. For ever lost those who don't understand their wrongdoing, doing it again and again.
Victory begets enmity; the defeated dwell in pain. Happily the peaceful live, discarding both victory and defeat.
"Or he might say: 'Whereas some recluses and brahmins, while living on the food offered by the faithful, earn their living by a wrong means of livelihood, by such debased arts as making predictions to the effect that:
the king [our movement] will march forth; the king will not march forth; our king will attack and the enemy king [our ememies] will retreat; the enemy king will attack and our king will retreat; our king will triumph and the enemy king will be defeated; the enemy king will triumph and our king will be defeated; thus there will be victory for one and defeat for the other — the recluse Gotama [as well as his disciples by following the Vinaya as they might not understand yet] abstains from such wrong means of livelihood, from such debased arts.'

Self-conquest is far better than the conquest of others. Not even a god, an angel, Mara or Brahma can turn into defeat the victory of a person who is self-subdued and ever restrained in conduct.
