Buddha's teaching advised us to be usefully living in this world and to be useful after our life is ended. Many Cambodian activists have been murdered and until now, those spirits of the murdered individuals have not been treated justly because the perpetrators have never been trialed. Recent shocking news for world watchers is the cold-blooded murdering of Forest Activist Hero Chut Wutty. His death is in a murky situation as no one is responsible for this and the national institution has not properly investigated into the case. It seems the government has intentionally twisted this situation or the government is lacking proper practice in the rule of law especially the investigation proceeds. From the first announcement to the final confirm by the investigation body created by the government, the conducting of investigation and the time frame of investigation is not professional and transparent.
The situation has been reflecting in the same manner like the gunning down of Activist Hero Chea Mony, the gunning down of Khim Sambo (a reporter), the gunning down of Most Respectful Venerable Som Buntheoun, and the gunning down as well as amputating many pop stars in Cambodia.
Cambodian government through her leaders at the present wish to leave their good legacy and useful life or leaving these problems for their own experiencing of hell in both worldly dimension and next dimension?
Lives of Activist Hero Chea Mony and Activist Hero Chut Wutty would rest in peace at a progressive dimension and their legacy as well as useful life have been evidently prevailed; but the lives of present government leaders will be uncertain as their political wills and leadership professionalism have not been showed.
May the power of Lord Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha bring the light for those incapable Cambodian leaders!

It's simply shameless to seek for reputation and do politics on the death of somebody who tried his best in a proper livelihood regarding to his understanding.
ReplyDeleteNot only that it is counterproductive for a used realization among influential people, as the position and the person of Loun Sovath is already a declined one of those in charge, it also reduces the weight of Vuthy as he is covered by his influence.
Loun Sovath, for the sake of your own well being and for the sake of many beings as well as for the sake of peace, there are two possibilities.
Try your best without disgrace the robe and Buddha Dhamma or start to follow the Vinaya. Otherwise there will be no real nice end. Think on your family members, where you also failed to teach them dhamma in the right way. You can not carry the burden on unwholesome deeds based on deluded ideas. That take away a chance which is very rare, that takes away the change of a precious human live.
Wake up! Step aside of your pride, which is the reason for attachments. It pulls you down as sure as the water never flows up, even a come a pride deity after the break up of the body its followed existence is hell.
As for those how like to put action with real compassion and with effects for all others and one self, focus on virtue, honestly and deep, see you own share in the suffering of the world and give it the greatest gift:
Five faultless gifts
ReplyDelete"There are these five gifts, five great gifts — original, long-standing, traditional, ancient, unadulterated, unadulterated from the beginning — that are not open to suspicion, will never be open to suspicion, and are unfaulted by knowledgeable contemplatives & brahmans. Which five?
"There is the case where a disciple of the noble ones, abandoning the taking of life, abstains from taking life. In doing so, he gives freedom from danger, freedom from animosity, freedom from oppression to limitless numbers of beings. In giving freedom from danger, freedom from animosity, freedom from oppression to limitless numbers of beings, he gains a share in limitless freedom from danger, freedom from animosity, and freedom from oppression. This is the first gift, the first great gift — original, long-standing, traditional, ancient, unadulterated, unadulterated from the beginning — that is not open to suspicion, will never be open to suspicion, and is unfaulted by knowledgeable contemplatives & brahmans...
"Furthermore, abandoning taking what is not given (stealing), the disciple of the noble ones abstains from taking what is not given. This is the second gift...
"Furthermore, abandoning illicit sex, the disciple of the noble ones abstains from illicit sex. This is the third gift...
"Furthermore, abandoning lying, the disciple of the noble ones abstains from lying. This is the fourth gift...
"Furthermore, abandoning the use of intoxicants, the disciple of the noble ones abstains from taking intoxicants. This is the fifth gift, the fifth great gift — original, long-standing, traditional, ancient, unadulterated, unadulterated from the beginning — that is not open to suspicion, will never be open to suspicion, and is unfaulted by knowledgeable contemplatives & brahmans. And this is the eighth reward of merit, reward of skillfulness, nourishment of happiness, celestial, resulting in happiness, leading to heaven, leading to what is desirable, pleasurable, & appealing; to welfare & to happiness."

ReplyDeleteDear Hanzze;
ReplyDeleteFor your point of view, the death will be useful without commemorating or showing the world his/her activities during their living and dedication?
For Cambodian government, it has showed that the death by gunning have been victimized, not the perpetrators; how do you see this mentioning words?
Dhammaduta
To your first question:
ReplyDeleteThere is a clear statement above and there is no need to try to draw inferences, if you have a specific question on it, please...
Remembering the Buddha in saying: "there are two types of people who misrepresent: those who draw inferences from statements that shouldn't have inferences drawn from them, and those who don't draw inferences from those that should."
and that one:
should then determine how far the answer should be interpreted
To the second question:
Are this question which change anything? Are this questions which lead to release? Do they carry any way out to release?
Over all (I just saw that) the author of this post had changed the video as well as he had added text, so this might be a reason for misunderstanding.
ReplyDeleteHow ever, the one to whom the statement is directed will understand.
Funny ways you use to struggle and try to make things different even if they are already gone. The results from the forrunner, the intention, will how ever remain, till they ripen. So there will be no sorrow if the intention was wholesome.
"And what is right resolve? Being resolved on renunciation, on freedom from ill-will, on harmlessness: This is called right resolve."

Did you know, that you can not erasure a misdeed, how ever you might try? So no need to worry about unfairness, better focus on: not trying being part of wrong views.
You have pointed the finger to those who are sympathizing the death of Chut Wutty and his family. His widow and children are left orphaned by the cold-blooded murdering of Mr.Chut Wutty. Have you shared some of your sympathy and condolence?
ReplyDeleteMore than this, Buddha advised those who are full of four immeasurable virtue: loving-kindness (metta), compassion (karuna), sympathetic joy (mudita) and neutral mindset (upeka).
You have not showed one of the above virtue at all.
For the second premise, a society that justice has never been prevailed, both victims and perpetrators will fall into the world of sadness and suffering.
Dhammaduta
Look, you draw inferences and you are not able to get the point.
ReplyDeleteYou are attached to your ideas and ignore the reality. If one is not able to look on deeds, one is not able that intentions are the roots of suffering.
If one is not able to use the for noble truth to release and uproot the cause: death, parting: "this is suffering" attachment, identification, taking it as a "I", "you", "my" or "me": "this is the cause of suffering", detachment, this is not really "I", "me" a "you" or "he", "this is the cessation of suffering" and to remember the eightfold path, act according to the eightfold path, renounce, abstain, give up ill-will, keep the mind focused on the truth, get concentration and come a little deeper to the roots of the real problem "this is the path to cessation of suffering", then you will naturally suffer.
More offer you teach the opposite: "you are not attached or identified and you should take this as the reality" - this is increasing the suffering, "your do not hold on to cling on it, to take it as real" this is the increasing of the cause of suffering, "you need to be attached and personalize it" - this is the way to destroy the cessation of suffering, "that is reality and that need to be taken as real, to do in that way we will restrain" - this is the way to lead astray from the path of cessation of suffering.
And if one is permanently doing the opposite and call his way "the way of the Buddha" just to justify his attachments, his failures his incapacity is not only blameable, should not only be criticized, but has terrible effects for whom is in such delusion and people who follow such delusion and I wonder if you are so attached, how you can sleep and how you can live without permanently pain, when another person suffers and dies having followed your silly ways to fight others, being attached to opposite.
Your actions are the cause of suffering and you still wonder why it hurts. There is a easy saying, but it needs also self-honesty: If one is not able to help (because he do not understand the way out of suffering and is not able to give the medicine) one should not make it more worth.
If you are a little smart, you might find here the next opportunity to see the mass of suffering and remember that there is a way out. Suffering and the way out is a very individual realization. Thinking of that you do not understand it by your self, do not wake up, how will you wake up you dream actors?
